Why do they have to mess with a classic? Why not write a new movie, new storyline, etc.? I guess I know the answer - nothing left to write about. I watched the new Hawaii Five-O on TV last night - pitiful, just pitiful.

Looks decent. I'll likely go see it. No one can replace the Duke, but with today's trend toward giving films a bit of a "harder edge", I think it could be interesting.
Wonder what Duvall's take on it is?

what a joke this is. All it shows is the total lack of creativity in Hollywood, and a total disrespect for the Duke.

Actually, this newer version is a closer representation of the book, while the John Wayne version which we all love, strayed from the book a bit.
