I recently acquired my first lever gun but don't like the v notch and hood front sight. I'm interested in the following options and any advise would be much appreciated.
1. Williams fiber optic front and rear(green and red dots). 2. Williams rear peep and front red fiber optic. 3. Red dot 1x scope. Already have one, just need a base and rings.
I'd prefer not to put on a regular scope on at this time... I guess the eyesight is still OK and my shots will most likely not exceed 100 yards.
Thanks!

I like the fiber optic front and the peep rear. I find that for most use in the field I unscrew the insert in the peep to make it a ghost ring.

One caution about the red dot sights. I bought a 336CS with a cheap 1X red dot. The first time I tried to shoot the rifle was on a bright sunny January day against a snow back drop. There was no way I could see the sight at all. I ditched the sight for a receiver sight until I sold the rifle and red dot together.
