Shot this one at 25 yards quartering away this evening. Grim Reaper eat him up and buried in the ground. watched him run a 70 yard semi circle out in a broom sage field and hit the ground. Blood trail looked like something from a Nightmare on Elm Street film. This deer came in twice. First time he stopped about 25 yards to my right behind a huge oak limb. For some reason a doe and a yearling easing through the woods behind me scared the heck out of him and he ran back into the woods. Thought that was the last I'd see of him but about 30 minutes later he came back and offered me a shot. Odd rack and hard to get a pic that does it justice. Right main beam curls down at the tip. Sorry for so many pics. Good start to the season.

Congrats, odd looking rack. If you can get better pics I would be interested in seeing them.

Awesome that's a great Alabama 8 point. Love the character.

Whatever a 7x57 can do a 270 can do better.

True fair chase is you in the woods buttnaked with nothing but your finger nails and teeth.

Sucker carries the mass. Those reapers sure eat. I killed 3 armadillos at our place last year with the same head. None of them cared for it.
