Need to dis-assemble about 10 rounds and have 2 questions concerning using an Inertial type bullet puller.
1. Does the case need to be re-sisized after the process? Figured the case would stretch during the process or the case mouth would need to be re-sized to positively hold a new bullet.
2. Can the same bullet be used and not affect accuracy?
Thanks everyone.

1) I would. Just neck size.
2) Yes, and save the powder too. When I used the kinetic puller, I would use a shell holder instead of the universal holder that comes with the hammer.
Consider a collet type puller too, especially if you have to pull more than 10 rounds. They work great, and are safe to use with no powder spill.

Great idea.

the bullets should be undamaged (but on longer cases like the 416 Rigby or 470 NE it's easy to damage the case mouth as the bullet bounces back and hits it)
I've not had to resize - the most common scenario for me it to accidentally seat one too deeply on rounds I need to crimp and a couple taps will bring it back out without totally unseating the bullet.

I place a foam ear plug in the bottom of my kinetic puller to cushon the bullet. I seldom use the kinetic puller now that I have one that mounts in the press. You should resize the neck of the brass and be able to use the bullets again with no problems.

I'm not so sure about using a regular shell holder.
The universal collet holder with the elastic band holds the case quite firmly when properly applied and tightened down with the puller cap. When you give the "hammer" a rap, only the bullet moves.
A regular shell holder has clearance for the case rim. So when you swing the hammer the inertia of the cartridge will hold the case head against the bottom of the slot in the holder. When the hammer hits whatever you're whacking it against, the cartridge slams forward and the rim takes the impact. Now it's the rim coming to a sudden stop that's making the bullet move.

Inertia pullers work well. Cases don't have to be resized, but it might be a good idea if you're measuring runout, etc. Bullets are still perfectly huntable. Shellholders have worked a few thousand times for me after I've worn out the OEM holder.

I guess I haven't had to pull enough bullets.

for the cost and work I would use, and do use a collet puller. No damage to anything, plus it is much easier to use.
