I'm going to get me a Stainless SPS in .223 and a 552 Speedmaster with the money.
I'll probably try to find a factory laminated or a CDL stock for the .223.

Try finding your ass with two hands first; attempt to use them to pull your head out, then go on to your other particulars.

It just doesn't seem right to shoot off-brands. It's like cheating on your wife.

Sure would be horrible if you bought a "off brand" that out shot your "on brand" then your whole Remington centric universe would come crashing down, hell time might even stop!

Don't forget some accessories for your golf cart.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Over the years I've always been a "Winchester Fan", even though I have owned a few Model 700 Remingtons. Everyone has their own preference when it comes to firearms, and that is why there are so many makes and models available. I'm perfectly happy with my M70's, but that's just me... But I also prefer to use larger caliber rifles than necessary for most of my hunting which, for some reason, is frowned upon by many.... Each to their own..

Sold them all.....A Marlin .444, 2 Handi Rifles, and a Pardner shotgun are all that's left.

One of the new FN Winchesters would come as close to a Model 700 in accuracy as anything available. The workmanship of the off brands is so bad I can't look at them for more than a minute or two.

The workmanship on the one's I've owned was fine and they have all been very accurate and cheap to buy. I just don't need so many deer rifles.

I bought a 700 once. Had to return it, wouldn't feed a cartridge out of the magazine. Never even made it to the range.
I may get another, I hear they're good for donor actions.

Each to their own.. dont feel bad.....ive got a Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70 thats one of my favorite gopher guns count me as odd but i dont like the Winchester safety.....my favorite safety is the one on a 1917 Enfield.....that said, my current favorite all around hunting rifle is the Kimber 84M which happens to have a Winchester style sfatey, but since i dont hunt with a round in the chamber anyway i just dont use the safety
