Long story, but when aren't mine?

I went to register last week and the lady told me I can't, the deadline has passed. I'm like, huh? She said "you can't register past Oct. 11, you'll have to register at the poll when I go vote."

I told her well, what if I want to absentee vote? "Oh, well that's different you can register now for that" crazy So I registered and voted absentee last week.

To far out yet for us to start checking weather forecasts. Sure would be nice to have snow on the ground (About 4 inches) for the entire season.

Just returned form another shopping trip for camp. My basement looks like a stagging area for a military operation.

Kenna is coming up with me on Friday because Lys is not going this weekend. That is what I heard yesterday anyway.

The big boy in the trail cam photo is the one im after this year, he has roughly a 23" inside spread, i believe he'll go very close to 170.

The buck the old timer in the picture took scored 165. He shot it the 2nd day of i think the 2007 season 120 yards out the back of the barn. He almost missed it because he had to put down his coffee and donuts, sadly i think that will be his last deer, he hasnt been hunting since, he broke his hip, then his wife died he's been having a helluva string of luck. Just thought i'd share a little bit.

great muffy, that is just what you need to do is get Tzone pumped even more than he is. If'n i was his neighbor, I wouldnt be letting my femail dog out! I do declare, methinks Tzone is in the rut eek.

Just took the kids out looking for deer. In the 4-5 miles drive around our "block" where we hunt, we counted 29 deer. Only 1 was a buck and that was a basket rack. Three sets of twins at least. Where there are that many deer, there will be some big boys though. The kids loved it.

TZone, How is the coat rack looking? On another note did you ever get your 7X57 sorted out? or am I thinking of someone else?

I hit the range for my last sight in today. I had almost forgotten how much fun deer season range trips can be when you are not in a hurry and the weather is nice. The guy who could shoot 1/4" groups with his 7mm Mag was worth the trip all by himself.....

Per my self-inflicted rule of "100% shots into a paper plate at any given distance you will shoot at a deer rule" I am limited to 85 yards this year with the handgun. I was consistently missing 1/6 by a small amount at 100 yards unless I rested on the bench.

Maybe I need a bench in my Summit Viper.
