I'm not buying a firearms tag this year. Just going to do some all day sits with the bow. And then of course go with the smoke pole up at chickenbuck in a few weeks.

thanks m1894, we've killed bigger ones, and there are 3-4 differnt bucks that are bigger running around, but he was to much for me to pass up. He's a mature buck.... and a fooled him hahah, so i guess thats all it took

just am gonna hit the hay. but I was over at our land as it was getting dark and saw a dandy 8 pointer. Nice tall tines, prolly 9 inches. Saw a small 8 making rubs and scrapes and chasing does an hour and a half before dark. we all watched him from 600 yards from my uncles farm/our deer camp. got everyone in the mood...well except the does, they werent in the mood apparently.

i HATE the bears and the cubs, by gawd o mighty im a packer fan, yuuuup and id move up nort but den i couldnt watch da packers ooooh id do ne ting for da packers.

Hate to change the subject, but I saw my first load of Xmas trees, actually 3 truck loads on Friday.

Hopefully one of the chickenbuck crew is yelling BBD (Big Buck Down) about now.

Bill, wherever those trees are headed they will be mighty dry by Christmas. For the safety of the Northern Crew....hopefully the Swamp Squids and Flying Bears are laying low....hope someone remembered the Knife Gun.........

Scott, I hear you about the trees.

Just returned from a gun show up in the Wausau area. Great show. Lots of room between tables and quite a few exhibitors. Quite a bit of Military hardware which doesn't interest me anymore. There was however, a noticeable shortage of Savage 99's and Win 88's.

I only saw 2 deer today, one running through a slough at 120 yards, no shot. and another standing in someones driveway. tomorrow is a new day, I'm headed to bed

last small patch of trees we checked this little girl came running out. hit her and she went down, finished with a shot to the head. she aint big but its meat for the freezer! I still have 2 tags left so hopefully more will come!

Looks like "tender vittles" to me.....:)
