It's a very good deal for entry level. Plan on getting other lenses, it'll set you up for her birthday, mother's day, anniversaries, and any other day you need to dig yourself out of the doghouse or get her a gift!

I have several Canon digital SLR cameras and a bunch of their len's. Buy her one. It's a great starting point. And you can get lot and lots of the older lenes and they will still fit it.
I love my Canon cameras. From the starter and very lightweight rebels to the more professional top line ones. They are great!

Mt dughter used a borrowed one at the wedding of a friend, and just loved it! She had only used P&S cameras before. NOW, she wants one!
What's the worst thing that can happen? O.K., what's the next worst thing?
