Not sure how many of you keep and eye on the RMEF raffles, but this one is pretty nuts. It's a 5 species (Elk, Moose, Black Bear, Caribou and Wolf) hunt outside of Fort Nelson BC. Total package is $15k, which includes $3k cash for your own costs and expenses of travel. Tickets are $100 each, with only 225 being sold. http://www.rmef.org/Hunting/StateRaffles/BCHunt.htm(I'm not affiliated in any way other than I bought a couple of tickets for the raffle and want it to sell out so they can draw! That and I try to support the RMEF whenever I can.)
Wanted: Vintage Remington or Winchester hats, patches, shirts. PM me if you have something.

I'll buy one or two... what the heck! This would be the hunt of life time and no worse cost than a couple of unlikely draws in western states.

It seems to be a pretty good deal for 15k. Our local outfitter in Northern BC charges 15 k for a moose alone. Hunter success on 6 point elk is almost 100 percent and I think hunts run about 8000. BTW.............the area hunted is incredable.

I called Jon yesterday... nice guy... he is holding two tickets for me while my check is in the mail...I'm overseas so I was worried they would be all gone by the time he got it. He made it sound like a good number of the tickets were gone already... made it sounds like 50-60 left... just my guess.
He also said the outfitter has very high limits on what you can shoot... min was at least a 6x6 elk but now that I think about it, he might have said 8 which seems really high. Caribou I know he said was 5 points on the "pommel" or whatever you call the end... he said this would be the hardest... lots of nice caribou but hard to find one that qualifies. Moose was something like 13 points or three brow tines...
Basically said, expect to get a nice Elk and a moose... caribou would be tough and wolves are just if you are lucky. Black bear are way down he said b/c the grizzly population is way up.
Anyways, my checks in the mail.

In BC there is a 6x6 requirement for elk, so that's BCs restriction not his. Not sure about the caribou though.
