Bought a nice Weatherby here and fitted it with a Kahles 4-18x50.
With the 168 TTSX and large amounts of Retumbo, it will do 5 in less than 1" at 3500+ fps.
Have tried a number of 180 gr bullets with Retumbo and H869 and the groups are 2" or worse.
I've been thinking that the 200 gr Accubond as it has a very high BC and, I believe, would be a superior long range HUNTING bullet to the 168 TTSX.
Would appreciate advice/comments from those of you who shoot this caliber. Thanks.

I run the Win/Nosler Combined Technology slugs (mollied 180's) through an Accumark. A load of 120 grains of H870 (can't get it anymore) was worked up and used in winter months with a velocity just a hair under 3,500 fps. Worked just fine on moose, caribou and elk.

Took everything out for a preseason check in some 90+ degree F temps and got some stiff bolt lift. With little time at hand, I pulled my slugs, dumped 2 grains of powder, put things together, rechecked zero, and headed out to hunt. I've not had a chance to chrony it with the reduced load, but it still shot little tiny bug holes at 100 yds. One of the most accurate units I own, and it will reach well across canyons to touch elk.
