I made it out tonight for a couple hours, stalked through some promising country, pretty open but scattered groups of trees and a cornfield to the west. I saw 3 deer as I made it inside the city limits on my way home, just to add insult to injury frown
didn't see a thing when i was hunting, heck its the most deer I've seen all season. but I have high hopes for this weekend, we're gonna knock the snot out of some!

Brought Lauren (my 6 year old daughter) out on her first deer hunt tonite. And it rained. And rained. And rained. And then it rained. But we did see 13 does and 1 decent 8 pointer. The 8 was only a 1.5 year old, so he got a free pass....although I didnt have a shot anyway. Lauren was a trooper and loved it, even thought the conditions were tough. Made me proud in fact. I might just have a little deer hunter on my hands.... grin grin laugh

I stopped by the taxidermist's on my way back (he has my elk) and saw one of the most impressive bucks i have ever seen. Unbelievable mass. Big thick forked G-2s. Looked like a big muley rack.

that might take some doing!

I made the mistake of taking a little nap before finishing my homework after the hike tonight. so here I am, its midnight and I finished my homework, yet I'm wide awake. YAY! I guess I can watch hunting shows til I get tired and have dreams of deer. course then I'll probably get a speeding ticket tomorrow on my way up cause I'll be too pumped.

see most of ya'll tomorrow! Tom be lookin for me around 1-2pm I texted Justin today and he's up there, I'm stoked!

On this Veteran's Day 2010, I want to thank all that have served our country-past, present, and future. The appreciation for all that you do and have done can't be explained by simple words, thank you is a start though.

Yes, thank you to all the vets for fighting for our freedom.

All packed up and ready to go. I have to put in about an hour of work then I'm on my way Up Nort. Have a good weekend everyone!

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.
