Ladies & Gentlemen,
Anyone using the Swarovski SLC 10x50 binoculars?
Thinking about buying one last pair of binoculars. Am currently using my old Leica 10x40 (purchased early 1980s) that still work very well.
Appreciate any advice.
Best Wishes

The new EL 50 Swarovisions will be on the market soon, I'd take a look at them before I decided.

Thank you. Appreciate the advice.
Am also considering the Leica in that size. Our old Trinovids have really served us well, all these years. Our only concern is the poor reputation Leica seems to have (regarding warranty service) here in the good ol' USA. Especially when compared to Swarovski.

Good Luck....did you see the SLC 10x50s in the classifieds?

I didn't know that. Where did you hear about it from?

Are you sure of that. The next EL SV models coming out I believe are the 8x32 and 10x32's much like the
original EL's. I assume the next SLC HD's will include the 50 mm's and 56mm. and maybe a new 8x30 SLC. The 7x42 SLC size is going to be dropped.

It's just hard to beat the prices right now on the current SLC's. I can get a brand new 10x50 SLC for $1,300 with my gift cards. Swarovksi is just about to be out of my price range (or more than I really want to spend for minimum differences) with the new HD binoculars that are coming out. I bought a pair of 8.5x42 Swarovisions and compared them to my old 8.5x42 EL's for 3 days. I really hated the new eye cups on the Swarovision's. I experienced the rolling eye effect and didn't really like that either. I just couldn't justify keeping them for $2,300. You won't ever be able to buy Swarovski bino's any cheaper than they are right now. The new SLC's HD's will be in the $2,400 or more range on the big eyes.

I bought the SLC 10x50's three years ago. They are heavy but feel and fit very well. They are very good binoculars. I am still enjoying them very much.
