It would be a perfect world, if every 99 question to the fire was accompanied with that quality of photos and information. Then their would be no grumpy answers. Wrong!

I enjoyed your post. If I didn't already have a safe full of them, I'd consider buying your rifle. Looks like a fine hunting rifle. As someone else posted, put it on the 24hourcampfire's classified section, and it'll be gone in a hurry.

Thanks all for the constructive criticism. I'll rewrite, cut down on the sizzle where advisable, focus more on the meat, correct the manufacture date (1951) and eventually post on the Classifieds.

Timberline, you're an ad man, right? If not you should be, you're good. Like everybody else on this board who isn't too old to hunt, I already have a shooter 99, but you made me want the rifle anyway.

BTW zebrapub isn't a bar in Denver, is it?

As far as truth in advertising goes, I can't fault Timberline. There are a lot of EG's out in this price range - and that's a good thing. They are a fine hunting rifle and the existing supply should be enjoyed for as a long as possible. Like everything, the supply will dry up.

"Hey guys, I just got the news that Bill Krenz has passed on. He went by 'Timberline' on 24hr. Many here knew him as the founder and editor of Inside Archery and Bowhunt America magazines. He was always complimented on his superb writing style and photography, even on his classified ads here. Apparent heart attack. He was 58, and survived by his wife and kids+. My prayers go out to his family. I'll miss you my friend. Happy hunting on the new hunting grounds. Don"
