Wish I had some to show! Accuracy has been pretty average but it seems to be settling in. I had to put a little pressure at the forend before the groups started to shrink. All I have shot is the 200 gr factory loads. The more I shoot the better it seems to group. I'm looking forward to doing some load work this winter.

The elk didn't cooperate and I didn't have it in time for deer season so I will have to wait till next year to baptize it fully.

I will say this...it is a joy to carry!

Thanks for the update pastordan. The whole concept of that 338 RCM and short barreled Ruger seems to be a good one. Hope you have good luck next year, bsa.

goodshot,

You don't have a 30-06. Get a 30-06.

I'd agree, thought everyone owned a 30-06.

I would go with a a Weatherby Vanguard in .300WBY or if you feel like maybe a lever, I would try a Browning BLR in the .325WSM. Good luck.
