I've had a Bushnell 3200 10X for about 2 years now. I bought it as an entry level tactical scope for a heavy barreled 308.

I've been experimenting with SMK 168 and Varaget of late, and am attempting to learn the MOA thing. I am applying what I have learned by simply running my scope up and down at 100 and 200 yards (max. distance at local range), and predicting where my bullet should hit per adjustments. In my limited experiments, the Bushnell with it's somewhat bulky turrents, has been repeatable.

Today I took the 308 out for some fun prior to an afternoon hunt. I took with me my 3006, mounted by a VXII, 3-9x40. I have to say that I was suprised by what I saw through the two scopes. This little Bushnell has a noticeable "crisper" image than my Leupold. I would say that the Bushnell appeared "brighter" than the Leupold, but I think that the sharpness of the image made it to appear to be so.

I am not going to be selling off my Leupolds--now--or in the near future. However, I bought this Bushnell for $179 two years back--it is proving itself to be worth every penny.

Is the Bushnell made in China or Japan?

I have one of these on a .243 that I shoot out to 620yds. It has always tracked perfect and returned to zero everytime. I am like you, I won't be selling off my Leupolds but this is a good scope.

This particular one is made in Japan. Can't say for current production.

Just got one of these last month. It says made in Japan. I dont care for the green numbers/lines on the turrets. Other than that, I am happy so far.

I've had one for about eight months and it has worked very well. Mine has a little distortion at the edge but it has tracked flawlessly and that to me is important. I have run it out to 795 yards and had no issues. Mine sits on an Rem 700 LTR .308. It has been well worth the $200 I paid for it.

Bet that's a neat handling package...and looks good to boot.

I have mine mounted on a PSS and with the 26" tube it looks a bit out of place. However, I've a plan NOT to change it until I've made it out to 600 yards...with consistantcy.

Even then, I'm likely not to sell it. It'll just move it over to something else...until it pukes. I'm keeping record.

I've had two of these scopes and, for the money, they are excellent. Optics are good, and better than most at the $220 price point. Adjustments are positive and repeatable and the mil-dots are well defined and easy to use.

I'm getting a mil/mil version this spring for use on my Rem 700 varmint 223. Should be a great way to learn how to "mil."

Oregon45,

I'm new to this. What is the mil/mil version? Mine just simply says "Mil Dot Reticle." Is there a difference?

Yes. The mil/mil version has both the mil dot reticle and adjustments graduated in mils, rather than 1/4 MOA. That way you only have to do the math in mils for both the turrets and the reticle.

Not off hand, a google search would likely turn some up.

I've got the mil/mil model.

Makes it super easy to zero at whatever distance you want, and correct for misses at distance.

I kinda like the scope. moved it up from the 10/22, to an AR15.
