I need a note card with ballistics on the stock of a new rifle which sports a painted McMillan. Never tried it before on paint. Guess what, the tape doesnt stick to the paint. Im having a brain fart as to an alternative. Ive been known to tape a tiny chart on the BC lens flip up cover but this chart needs to be bigger. Surely someone has BTDT. Help!

Maybe not a great option, but on several rifles I use a Beartooth neoprene stock guard. I print my charts a little larger than business card size and laminate them. They slide between the sock and the stock and I've never lost one. I can reach it with my left hand while staying on the rifle. Not quite as quick as a taped on chart, but it works. You have the added benefit of shell holder loops if you're that kind of guy too!

Why not just tape it to your rangefinder?

Just put your cheat sheet on the inside of an eye patch. Worked for Chevy in "Spies Like Us". Caught food poisoning for the first time a few weeks back. It took quite a while to get back to normal. At least it was Chinese food, as I can easily go the rest of my life without touching another bite, regardless of poisoning......
Now with even more aplomb

I transfer my data to a spreadsheet, end up with a 1.5"x2.0" piece of paper and use clear packing tape over it and simply tape it to the cheek piece or forearm.

Duct tape and Sharpie did the trick. I should add that the clear tape will stick to the duct tape so I gave it a couple of lamination layers of the clear, to protect the ink.

roads-I'd think that contact paper would do very well, I use clear Scotch packaging tape.

Mine was either chicken or beans with chicken seaming the most logical.
