Did Duluth get much snow Dave?

My dad and step mom came down from there last night. They stayed with my sister in Oakdale, and got snowed in. Betsy and I went to get them in the truck because we were going to go to the Vikes game early in the am and do some tailgating.

The Vikings game got postponed until Monday night. I might have a quick day at work on Monday, I'm going to tell them about the new job. eek We'll see if they send me packing or not. I don't expect it, but won't be surprised if it happens either.

I kind of feel bad about leaving after only a month, but there was no promise from them of full-time, permanant employment after my contract was up either. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I gotta have one! I have no idea why, but damn that thing looks cool.

Good to know you holed up. I didn't see that working out well, the way the weather reports were coming in. Put the truck on the trailer and pull home with the Tucker I guess.

Pretty neat rig.

Truck did really good, I'm very much impressed with the 07 F150, I'm pretty sure the tucker weighs at least as much probably more than my pickup but the truck did great. Especially considering the conditions we drove in.

Unreal Dave. I still can't believe you made it all the way to Duluth. I darn near fall out of my chair when you told me you could see the lights of Superior/Duluth.

National weather service says we had 12.6 inches of snow here in Stevens Point. Max wind gusts measured at 46 MPH. Hwy 10 East was closed between Stevens Point and Fremont (About 45 miles) this morning.

I had one drift in the driveway that went up to my hip and other spots that were darn near bare. The old Toro really got a workout.

Tom, I see that Oakdale got 21 inches of snow.

It was bad Bill, heading north on 53 there were spots where snow drifted the whole right lane with 3 to 4 ft of snow, other spots those drifts carried all the way across both lanes. I had to keep an eye on the snow plow berm to judge where we were on the hwy and at one point while passing a white knuckled center of the hwy driver (30 mph and covering both lanes) I had to use the rumble strip edge along the shoulder to judge how far I could be over while we passed.

So, when it is too snowy out for Wheezy to want to driver her Mustang to school, does she get to take the Tucker?

Take care getting the rest of way. No worry about getting home in time to watch the game today.. smile

Is the Mustang still out or did you put it away for the winter?

That Tucker is da shizit! Glad you made it to safer ground. I can see it now. Everyone is going to be fishin slip bobbers in the house while Dave is out trolling! smile

Tom - That is a good sized Rooster in you're yard. Cool!

Well I got a notch in my muzzleloader yesterday. Finally! What I thought was an average doe turned out to be a decent sized button buck. I had to work for that sucker though. Bundled up to the max and walking up and down through hilly woods in deep snow to the point of exhaustion paid off with my first black powder kill. Gonna be tasty!

We can't be that far behind them. The weather guy said 10" but we had that the first time I cleared the driveway. The second time, there was at least 6 more and it was wind blown.

On another note, the pheasant was back under the feeder today. Nice big rooster. Flew immeaditaly when I opened the sliding door.

No doubt. I had tickets, and I won't be flying to Detroit to use them either. Heard on the news that we will recieve a full refund.
