Call them. I didn't hear back from the State either. I called them on Thursday and no one called back. I called on my lunch break on Friday, and no one called me back. I got home on Friday afternoon and they called my home phone. I called back asap and they gave me the good news.

No news doesn't mean bad news in this case.

My wife is a Human Resources director, she is always busy, and doesn't always get to call folks back when she says she could.

Don't fret it bro.

I had an interview last wednesday with pheasants forever, said I would hear back today, didn't hear anything back. I was a little surprised I didn't even get an email saying they chose another candidate. especially since there were 9 of us who were interviewed for 2 positions. shrug it off and keep looking I guess. I'll still follow up with them but not expecting much.

I would love wyoming, its a little closer to home than Kansas.
do you know of any jobs in the Natural resources field out there?

Quit sounding down.... If you haven't recieved an e-mail saying they went another direction, you're still in the game.

You'll hear something. Pretty crappy company practice to not hear anything back. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.

it really hasn't gotten me down, but rather than keep that giddy anticipation feeling I've traded it for the keep my eyes on finding a job and moving forward like I know I didn't get it.
worst case is I keep my feelers out there and not lose any more time. best case I find out and I can stop looking and I'm no worse off. either way I keep making progress, least thats how I feel about it. besides if I didn't get it, I can still make my elk hunt, and Cale gets to see grandpa and grandma for christmas smile

Oh, no doubt you have to keep looking. Best case, you have two job offers...make them battle for you. smile

Stay positive, you'll get it.

Dave has a good saying, "People are like water, you'll find your level." of something like that.

Just turned my order in from my first Scentsy party. I'm over half way to my Certified Consultant title. Don't sound like much, but means "more commission". smile

Hey, that just might work. grin Not too well this time of year though. The light bulb wouldn't be warm enough to melt the wax when it is this cold. frown

I know about this stuff...kinda. My MIL sells Leah Sofia jewelery. She started out as a consultant, having a few parties, then started having them every weekend, then twice a week and on the weekend, now....Full Time and she won an award for the top sales in the Mid west. The woman is a selling machine. She has people working under her, which she gets a percentage of sales from. Once you get rolling, you really get rolling.

Ryan, You'll be fine.

I sent out more than 100 resumes before I got a job offer here. You're doing well. You have a specialized field, that you know what you're doing in. Trust your skills, and knowledge of your job. You'll get it.

Oh yeah, tell them when you call, that you're still interested and you want the position. Believe it or not, some people interview for a job for practice, not because they really want it.
