Funny, my oldest son and I were talking about this on Friday. We figured the calendar maker was busy chiseling out the years on stone calendars when his wife caught him with the nude model for December 2011. Thus his early retirement and the lack of calanears after December 2011.

As you all know I don't watch much tv, but I happened to catch a documentary type program a while back about the Mayan's. It was fascinating. I'd like to own it in video. I think it was History Channel but can't remember for sure. A guy by the name of Jim Turner discovered a Mayan ruin off the coast of Chile. The Mayans were probably the best navigators the earth has ever known and their understanding of the movements of celestial bodies is unparalleled, even in modern day with computers. How they did what they did and knew what they knew, no one knows. (Personally, I think the Templars killed them off and destroyed all their books. Sounds conspiratorial I know, but I believe there's a complete history of the world hidden below the Vatican. A complete history! And this was just another addition to it they didn't want anyone else to know about.) Anyway the Mayans knew about 3 major celestial events that will take place in 2012. This show talked a bit about his journeys out to the island and how he stumbled onto the ruin and the very interesting idea that atop the Mayan structure will be the southern most point on the globe that all 3 events will be visible. It was a really interesting show. On the OP. This "end of the world" crap is ridiculous. Just like the Y2K nonsense. I still shake my head and snort over that.

It's not the end of the world, just the date the earth, moon and sun line up with the exact center of the galaxy.
The magnetic poles will switch ends as the earth's iron core swivels 180 degrees. Couple of earthquakes here and there, a tidal wave or three and then it will be yesterday's news.
To be prepared all you gotta do is paint S on your compasses where it says N and paint N where it says S and you'll be okay.
However, those of you with GPS sytems are gonna die...

The only way I see all human life ending on earth would be the result of a comet or astroid impact.
I don't believe man will be responsible for destroying all human life. Even in the event of a nuclear holocaust, many would survive.
I don't believe anything will happen on Dec. 21, 2012 except alot of Christmas shopping.
