Merry Christmas all. My mouth is watering in anticapation of the prime rib dinner we're going to have tonight. smile

ET...I can hear a big rutty, stinky, sumbitch slopping through that swamp now. Great picture.

Geeezzzze, When it rains it pours I guess. Ma called and said she got in a car accident with the truck. I drove down to meet her and everything and everyone are fine. No damage to Ma, and minor damage to the truck.

Thanks man. I'm doing fine, pretty good considering. I was talking to Betsy about that. I think it's because we're so far from the incident at the moment.

We're fine, I promise.

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Me too. She thought I would be mad. I'm not even bothered by it. I was so relieved that she was fine I could have cared less about the damn truck....it's a truck, they'll make more.

I was bored earlier today and was looking at my Father in Laws old rifles.

He has a Savage 99 that I discovered was made in 1901. It is a .303 Savage with a 26" octagon barrel.

He also has a Remingto 141 pump rifle in .30 Remington. Very neat stuff I didn't even he know he had.

Thats fun stuff..

I've got a half a dozen birds in the oven (Ruffies)

Doing that lemon cream sauce thing. It's going to be awesome.

Pam and Nate rode snowmobiles into town to gas them up, first ride of the year. 2 sleds running, 2 to go. I didn't even come close to a heart attack getting the first two going, but the next 2 are the ones that try to kill me every year crazy

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I put on some miles today looking for some song dogs. We just have to much fluffy snow for them to be moving. When we get a hard crust they will be out in force. I dropped my deer hide off at the local trapper/fur buyer today in exchange for a pair of gloves. He had about 10 coyotes, a couple fox and a big fat coon that have come in in the last couple days. He was telling me that coyotes are actually worth something again. $20.00 for a big one and $15.00 for smaller ones. He thinks the price will keep rising. Time to invest in some snowshoes and snares I think.

He also has a live coyote as a pet and has a live weasel in a cage. We got to watch it eat a muscrat leg. You would swear the thing is tame. He caught it wild when his weasel trap didn't spring but critter was still there eating the bait. It played tug o war with him when he tried removing the bait so he took it home. Its really pretty neat.

Goll dang Santy Clouse was here and put out my wood stove fire, left some little toys, socks & stuff like that, and he left a snow shovel for my tucker sno cat.... wtf?

Surely an experienced snow travler of the world like the Clouse doesn't doubt the abilities of the tucker???

Now I am insulted......

Tell everyone Merry Christmas from us Dave!

When is the fish house going out? My buddy Rick is talking like he may head up there tomorrow to take the "Norsky Nest" out. Have you heard how much ice is in the channel?
