This is an outstanding specimen and a bit rare.. The Classic SS/Walnut sporter M70s (New Haven) were only made two years ('97-'98) and aren't often found for sale.. I could only find one other example on Gunbroker... This rifle was bought new, fired only a few times and stored until now. The owner said it's not been used for a decade and never hunted with.. I cannot find a mark worth noting on the rifle or stock.. I'll say it's 99%+.. I also have the original box, the manual and most of the papers sans the hang tag. The wood is a beautiful color with nice grain and figure. It's all original and unaltered in any way. LOP is 13 7/8", barrel is 24" long and the bore's excellent.. All I've done to it is wipe it down, clean the bore and take pics.. Must go to your FFL-holder for transfer. CA sale ok. No sales out of the US. If sold at my shop WI sales tax will also apply.. First "I'll take it" wins - please followup with PM...

If Lee says it's 99%+, believe it! Recently picked up a Classic Fwt .280 Rem from him and it was/is as advertised - without question!
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

I bought one of these new many years ago, I was just going through rifle boxes and I have the receipt for mine. Thinking it was 94-95 though?
Anyways, LOVE mine although it doesn't get out much. It'd take more than that to buy the one I have.

Those are rare, and if I remember correctly, only chambered for a few cartridges. I've only seen two of those. Once I thought I had a line on a .338, but it never materialized.
Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy whiskey.

Another bump for a great guy to deal with.
I bought a SS Featherweight 243 just a bit ago and it was better than described.

Nice rifles.....I've had them in several calibers including .338 Always have liked the SS on wood look. They put some surprisingly nice wood on them as well.

Gorgeous. Is the length of pull really 13 7/8s? It feels blasphemous to ask such a question to a rifle nut, but that seems awfully long for a factory original stock?

Bump for a nice rifle, even though the bolt is on the wrong side of the reciever
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

From the trigger to the edge of the recoil pad, it's 13 3/4.. I always try to measure to the actual rear of the pad, and in this case it adds another 1/8+.. I'm probably over-anal in measuring.. Comes with the job.. Still available.. SOMEBODY is going to be a happy owner one day..

Let's do this:
$850 SHIPPED...
Seriously, you won't find a nicer, cleaner specimen than this unless you luck into a NIB.. And for that, you're gonna pay more..

Pretty piece of wood. There are SG's running around that don't look that nice.
