Our Daisy was a "trike: for the last 6 months of her life of so and she got along just fine on the three. Her bad one was the front though.

Just went out to the shop to let the dog out a little while ago. I couldn't walk on the sidewalk, it was glare ice. I had to walk in the snow along side it. I salted it really good on my way back to the house. I bet the roads are terrible, glad I don't have to go anywhere. I rented 3 movies so I'm just going to stay home and watch them.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Good north west wind here & a little drifting out in the open but really nothing for snow yet, it seems to be just starting up here, no rain.
We have to drive to Duluth in this crap today... yuck.
Something clever here.

It's slicker 'en snot on a door knob out there! I'm working from home today. Don't really feel like being stranded 35 miles from home when all the snow tops the glare ice.

Wahl, if'n we are sharing rooster photos, I gotta put up a few! The first one is me in Montana. This is my daughter on her first pheasant hunt. Think she caught the bug??? And this one is Lauren last year on the last day, -12 degrees out.

And of course this year. This was a storm or two back. Dad and I got 5 that day if memory serves me correct. And this is from my last hunt. This is Belle and the point produced a hen. And the last one is the area I shot all 3 birds. For those who dont hunt late season roosters in the cattails, this is what it is like....

Good looking dog there Brent. At is a William Evans 16 bore. It is way too long for her but I wanted a picture of it. She uses a cut down side-by Ithaca/SKB 20 that fits her well. Here is one more different double - I think that is about all of them - at least of the shootable doubles. It is a 10 bore Scott. The black dog is Codi - a flatcoated who now gets to chase pheasants all day everyday among the clouds. A couple of friends with their "built wrong" doubles. They have since seen the light. Other dogs don't even think of messing with Ande's birds.

Is cock, in reference to pheasants now politically incorrect?

Hunting pheasants with green grass and in a light jacket seems like a whole different sport than the hunting here of late. Now on the subject of guns, I am not a double guy. Never have been, dont think I ever will be. They just dont trip my trigger (pun intended). I have been using my current gun since 1996 and love it to death. I have only shot a few SXSs in my life, but it seemed to me that I was trying to aim a 2X4.... Okay, I am ducking now....

When you handle a really well built one, you'll change your mind. I handled one at a Ducks Unlimited banquet once until they told me how much it cost. It was $3800 and for the life of me I can't remember what it was. It was like a feather with barrels.
