A $2K Beretta or Browning is really about a $400 gun in real life. smile

It hasn't been as cool since I left in '99. smile Really, it is a nice town but I wouldn't want to live there anymore. I like to visit still though.

I am a sucker for any place on a lake especially a place on The Lake.

It certainly has a draw to it doesn't it? I think I've fished steelhead and brookies on every river and strem from Duluth to Two Harbors on that lake. Nothing like it in the spring.

The Lester is and was my favorite. Not as many fish as the others but I know it well.

I've never fished those but I have done many of them from 2H north to GM. I fished above the falls though so no lake run fish.

Most of them have brookies and some have browns above the falls. I've not got many browns though.

The only one I've really fished about TH is the Temporance. Another favorite, but it's for the scenery, not the fish I've caught.

Hey, I am kinda in the market to sell my 95 Polaris XLT SKS and buy a 2000-2006 Polaris 600 long track. If anybody can help me out on either end, let me know.

Brent, I have a few guns on my wish list. A Sako .223 or similar would be one. A (what else) Beretta 20 ga auto for the kids (only gonna give them one shell however). Then maybe a historical gun of some sort. I dont have as long of wish list as some and dont have a fascination with levers like some do. eek grin

The Temperance is good but some of the smaller places like "Mud Creek" can have ridiculous brook trout with occasional really nice browns and some respectable rainbows..

Oh Bman, for get the Sako, the 20 auto, get a decent old double shotty. Then buy a fine singleshot rifle, like an 85 Winchester for example and in a decent cartridge like - well you are in MT - so quit foolin' around - make it a .45-70 or .45-90.

Life is short. You need to get started on the pretty guns... smile

Jeremy is West Yellowstone snowmobiling right now and he was looking at new sleds before he left. He was talking about selling his and getting an Assult. He has a 2005 Switchback 600, 144" track I believe. Let you know if he wants to sell if you are interested.

That might fit the bill, although I have to do some research on what switchback means. does it have reverse? I gotta figure out my budget first and that could push me more towards the early 2000s, but when he gets back, I would be interested in details.

It does have reverse. I don't know what it is called, but you push the button and the engine stops & it starts back up in reverse.

Bm, did you give craigslist a look? Look in the minneapolis area one. Likely to be dozens of them.
