Took my son hunting on Thursday, he got to carry his own rifle for the first time. Not many things better than sitting with your boy in a stand for several hours and talking about what you see.

He's shooting a cut-down Encore in 243 with a Leupy 4x.



He made a couple of really good decisions, including passing on a chip shot yearling, and I rewarded him with his first knife while in the stand, a Buck 501.

End of the day was nice too.
