happy new year!
Tag soup for me for 2010 elk. saw a huge bull elk yesterday and about 20 mulies, few of the bucks were really nice. had an awesome time with my best friend who went with me. but alas we couldn't find a cow elk. enjoying the rest of my stay in colorado with the family and not missing the blizzard up north!

Happy New Year, and DANGIT! on the second part. I saw your name there and was hoping some dead elk pictures were going to be with it.

At least you got to extend your hunting season a bit and enjoy some time with friends and family.

Happy New Year all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

We got snow to blow. Wish I had dough to blow!

It would be really nice to have a heated cab to sit in while blowing the white stuff around!

Then a guy could just sip his beer...

Happy New Year all!

I'm going crazy(crazier than normal). I'm suffering from a severe case of cabin fever. Sick of being stuck in the house. Starting to talk more to the dog and cat. And I swear one of them answered me. crazy

for the umteenth time this year, the weathermen greatly overestimated the storm. we got maybe, mayyyybe 5 inches. we were supposed to get a foot or more. it is windy today.

last nite, after shoveling the sidewalk, it was nice and calm and i went for a little walk. i got about 75 yards from our driveway and stopped and listened. it was so quiet. i started thinking about coyotes and made some squeeking sounds with my mouth. nothing happened for a minute or 2 and then i heard something behind me. i didnt turn right away, not thinking it was anything and listened to some far off snowmobiles. i casually turned around and there was a big ol coyote, at a dead run towards me about 20 yards away! kinda surprised me and i said hey!. He stopped and when he figured out I was taller than his average prey, turned himself inside out and took off. I squeeked and he stopped. then took off. i squeeked and he stopped. we did this prolly 25 times until he was a couple hundred yards away. it was reall fun!

happy new year everyone!

It is about 12 degrees here and blowing at 25-30. Was going to go pheasant hunting but wimped out until tomorrow. Today, I'll butcher and paint. Plenty of both to do. Bman, this weather would be just about right for you now.

Happy New Years to all!
We have been having one of those weather events that makes one wonder if all that "global warming" stuff has some merit!
Three days of balmy/rainy weather. We lost most of our snow (1 1/2 feet of hard stuff). We have had at least one of these event for the past three winters. I guess I will have to get used to the new normal. Sure easy on the woodpile though!
Just renewed all my fishing/hunting tags on line, so set for 3 years of fun.
Best wishes for the season.

I think I know where your 1 1/2 feet of snow went. Right in my yard. Its contributing to the global freezing phenom that were experiencing.

We lost a bunch. Drifts at the end of my driveway were almost 6 feet high. Now they're about 3.

We're finally back home. I'll post more later about our travel adventures.

Tom, my condolences to you and your family. I'll give you a call sometime today.

Happy belated New Years to everyone.

I have 1*F here. That's plenty cold. As long as it's not windy it won't bother me to much.

yep, made it. Went straight to the plow truck, fired it up then to the wood stove which pam was already working on firing up. Fuel tank was low on the plow truck so I just did the important stuff for the school bus and I'll do the rest tonight after getting some fuel.

It's cold here this morning, -24F for most of my drive to work but I did see -28 at one point. High of -5 for today.

Light snow here this AM.

Our 12 year old granddaughter did the polar bear plunge new years day. Temp was around 5 above with wind gusts up to 40 MPH. No way would I ever do it.
