They are well regarded rifles. Take a look here to start: http://www.tikka.fi/oldmodels.php

If the price is right then grab it - you'll be glad you did!

I have the same rifle in 22-250. It shoots great, with many 5 shot groups in the 3/8" range (55 gr bullets, H380 powder). If one wanted a heavy 308, it's a good place to start.

I have the standard barrel .308 and a friend has a heavy barrel 7mm mag. They both shoot very well.

Great Rifles. I have the LA m695 in 270 Win. They are heavier than the Tikka T3's and well made. Great trigger, accurate, and the bolt action is the slickest that I've ever handled, even better than the T3. I hunted mine with the wood stock for years but recently put it in a McMillan stock and coated in Cerakote.

I also have a 695 but in 280. It's one of the slickest best shooting rifles I own.

Early Tikka rifles are very highly regarded and are built to exacting standards. I used to have an LSA55 in 222Rem - and it was very accurate indeed.

I also have a Master Continental in 22-250. They are nice. Not many were imported (from what I my dealer told me). If its in nice shape and less than $600, snag it quick.
