Today I picked up a 1954 336RC that's in excellent condition, apparently has been hanging on a wall for the better part of 50 years.
Are the older guns in .32Win much rarer than the 30-30's & .35Rem's?

The precise ratio of 32 spl to the other calibers is not known. It is the scarcest of the three, however. In 1954, the 32 spl still had a following, but production really tapered off not long after that and it was discontinued by Marlin in 1960.
You will read a lot of information that it will not shoot, but that is hogwash. SW

I've also heard that they don't shoot a well as 30-30 when the bore is worn but this one's like new.
I hardly think a cartridge that didn't shoot would last 100 years.

A trick for the 32 spl is to use 8mm bullets - .323 - when the bore starts to wear out. Even with marginal barrels, they will do just fine. SW
