Sweet deal. That equipment probably hates January as much as I do. Glad you got some fish.

A million views? Seriously??

A million... that's like, a lot or something... raff out roud.

About time you made it out on the lake Dave.

BTW, did you go with one or two batteries for the Tucker?

There was only about an hour of fishing time after fighting with frozen LP regulator and ice in the gas line, then fighting with an auger that didn't want to run...

Everything fought me this past weekend. I'm simply frazzled and exhausted.

I'm the hour we had to fish we took home 4, missed as many as we kept. Fished 8 holes.

Nothing fantastic but it was good that the kids got to reel up some fish.

Pam too, she cought 2 that we kept.

Bill, we're running a single battery on the tucker.

I think when it's -15 or colder I need to take the lid off the air cleaner and pour a shot of gas down the carb before I even touch the key.

-10 or warmer it seems to start fine.

Kahuna!!

Now you are just as full of BS as me!!

No block heater. It has a shorted out lower hose heater, does that help any? (no, it does not.)

I think I'll get a good magnetic oil pan heater for it in case I need to get it running at -20 or something.

Just make sure its got a slow drippy gas leak so you're fire don't go out before the oil is warm.

grin

I finally made it out on the ice this past saturday. Went spearing. It was not very good. We ended up with three northerns. No size to brag about. But at least I got out.

Did see a very large black coyote on the way. I was not driving so I did not have my coyote elimination stick with me. Never fails. If I don't have a gun with, I see them buggers. This one was running across a cut corn field. Very large. Very black. I spose there is a chance it could have been a wolf but I didn't have bino's with either.

Back in the day it wasn't uncomon for someone to put a pan of charcoal under the crankcase to get things going. Of course 6 volt batteries were standard than too.

Tom, I doubt that I'll ever see 15K posts.

Change of subject. What cell phone carriers are being used by this group. I'm thinking about changing. Was with Alltel which was bought up by Verizon, but the local franchise didn't convert and started up a new company (Element). Looking at US Cellular and Sprint right now. Nearest Verizon office is 65 miles away.

I have AT&T because I wanted an I-phone. Verizon has a lot more coverage than at&t does. I can get service to about 30 miles of Chickenbuck. smile Just about perfect.

Jeremy and I have Sprint. I'm happy with the service for where I go. I can't call from Chickenbuck but I can text. Jeremy has Verizon for his work phone. It does seem like he has a wider range of service. I stayed with Sprint for our personal phones because I wanted internet, and it was cheaper than Verizon for what I wanted.

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Running Sprint. Thinking about changing to Verizon. Verizon works at my parents' place and has good enough coverage to text from the ranch that I hunt in Wyoming. Sprint works well in the Metro area.

Verizon. No complaints.
