I use an old plastic measuring spoon from a kitchen set. Normally I only load about 20 rounds at a time so it takes too long to set up my powder thrower for each different cartridge I load for. I dump close to the right amount of powder into the scale pan then top off with a trickler a friend made for me probably 50 years ago.
If I was loading large quantities of cases at a time then I would consider other methods.

Dad and grandpa used a plastic spoon for years to get each round to a exact weight.
I offered several times to buy one of those electronic gizmo's and dad refused to use it.
The OHAS scale that came with the press 40 years ago is still in service today and has never missed a beat.

Nope not at all. Been using this spoon since I was 15 yrs old. I only use a powder measure for pistol ammo. First wife put the spoon in the dishwasher once, that was back in 1985. I wonder how she is getting on, haven't had reason to talk to her since. To get the spoon back in working order, had to rub it good with a Bounce dryer sheet, then rubbed it with some graphite. I'm glad to see you Labeled it! One wouldn't want to mistake it for the ice cream spoon

Am I the only one that prefers an old-fashioned teaspoon over anything else to trickle powder? No, I have tricklers that were given to me, but my 40 years old spoon is irreplaceable. John
