I haven't a clue where I'm gonna put the old boy! But I sure like him! Love the European style of mounts!!!!

Al the taxidermist said he did was rub 'em with a little lemon oil to clean 'em up. Here he is moments after I shot him. Know you can't tell much. All I could see of his horns were the brow tines. The beams & other points were all covered in snow.

That's very nice. What a great experience you must have had. Can't shoot them critters in Texas.

Congrats on a great bull! Where did you get him? Would be curious to hear the details of your hunt.

Nice bull and I like your mount...Congrats!!! Actually there are a few free ranging Rocky Mountain Elk in the Davis and Chinati Mountains of West Texas and you can hunt them...these are free ranging wild elk not the high fence type bulls you normally see advertised....the Sproul Ranch in Ft Davis has 8 day pack in trips for them during the rut...

K,

they do make a good dish cloth holder in the kitchen...

Funning aside - that is an awesome mount, worthy of a spot above the fire place.

Beautiful mount!!

If I remember there was the use of a 9.3x62 on that puppy... I think-
