Just looking for some input on the quality of the ADL line of model 700s. Any bad experiences? Academy has them listed for $350 for pretty much any standard caliber. Was thinking of picking one up just for the heck of it at that price.

I have owned a few ADLs and have shot a few more. They have all been good shooters and functionally flawless. The best deal my Academy has going right now is a Stevens 200 in 7mm08 for $189

You are talking new gun - Right>?

Bleech

Used - not much of any difference between the ADL and BDL other then the furniture it wears.

I would buy as many as I could afford at that price. They are a 700 without bottom metal....thats it!

Good rifles. I've had a couple over the years, took a good bull elk with one. I'd take a 700 ADL, no problem. Looks like a great price.

As I.

I hate opening the bottom metal to drop the shells out when all I have to do is short cycle them out just as easily and I can grab every one without dropping any.

I can tolerate the ADL, but prefer the BDL 10-fold. No matter, no Academy around here. OT

I'll take a blind mag all day over a floorplate.

Of any persuasion.

If there's a Dick's Sports in your area you might check there. I picked up a .270 and an '06 of right around $400 each (SS model, not blued).

I've always prefered the ADL as well. Sprotsmans Warehouse and Dicks were selling the same rifle in stainless for about $100 more. I already have more rifles than I need, or I'd have a couple of those.
