40 and 42 inch curls on a 6 1/2 year old Bighorn. 16 inch bases, nice spread. It even made the book, but I was interested in getting a nice sheep, the book would only be frosting on the cake...

Lee on the left, with a 10 year NWT ram. I was guiding a 2 on 1 that hunt and we ended up getting both rams on day 2 on seperate stalks. Ended up spending the night out on the mountain without shelter. We ate good, roasting sheep meat on sticks over dead willow limbs. This is the other ram we got later that afternoon, about 2 air miles away from the first one. Jim, back at camp the next day....thats a backstrap on a stick.

Here's a really nice 40+" ram from the Ragged Range. We spotted this ram from at least 5 miles away while climbing up and out of the South Nahanni River. It took us all day to get close enough to see what he was. We weren't disappointed. After camping within 1/2 mile of him we woke up early and killed him right as the sun was coming up. 1990. We took this nice ram near the North Nahanni River the same year.

Jim, back at camp the next day....thats a backstrap on a stick. Pat, I just talked to Jim this past week, he is in Indiana. I can't believe anyone could be born and raised in Montana, then move to Indiana...

Great pictures guys. I'd love to go sheep hunting one of these days.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Met Duncan myself a couple times back in the day..
I hope the sheep are many, and the sky is clear where he is now...

Great pics guys. Rams have been a dream of mine for 30 years.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.
