Heading back up to Baudette to take possession of a 20' drop down ice house and a jacked up suburban from a client.

Anybody shopping around?

No idea what kind of rig this is will post up pics when I get back.

May also be picking up a 2004 18' foot Lunc Pro V with a 200 HP optimax.

Was wondering, didn't hear back from you. If you do sell yours, the lower price on the 7 1/2 X 8 still stands (unless it sells). Or our other one too, which ever.

forecast is wide open as far as I can tell.

No plans yet.

I do plan on heading for the lake after work today, the weezil and I may head for the lake to move a big 8x20 fish ouse with the rucker.

Fishing is the plan for tomorrow.

I got word today that our 3 fish houses are no longer accessable by truck.

So we'll be moving houses with the tucker.

Dusty, where do you want your house?

why anyone would need more than 100-125 is beyond me. how fast do you NEED to get to your fishing spot? how often do they run full throttle?
maybe I just move too slow, notice I said move, not think smile

Couple of places I fish on Superior are 25 mile runs to get there...That said, I am currently running a 115 four stroke, but I miss my 175 right up until I pull in to a gas station...

I found a 115 4 stroke about perfect on a 19 footer on Lake of the woods.

Some days big water lets you go fast, but most days it does not. So you have all that power hanging off the back of the boat that you can use maybe 3 days out of the year.

Depends on the boat. My BIL runs a 21' Ranger with a 250 Merc on LOW. You can pretty much go fast all the time with that rig.

I had a 150 Yammy on a 02 Pro V and it was an animal. I cant imagine 33% more ponies. It drove that boat mid50s in mph. If you can imagine your hand on the throttle....it isnt much of a throw to go from 0 to 200 horsies. whips people around if they arent ready. I just about put the wife in the lake once. she wasnt amused. at all. whistle

i have the 115 now and love it. no burner, but i like it.

Well my Ranger had a 175 hp Evinrude Intruder, and I NEEDED to go faster. I was full throttle anytime water conditions, or my wallet allowed it. She was a thirsty beast.

If I was in the market for a mid sized boat (17-18') I'd get the 115 yamaha 4 stroke. No questions asked. Best motor under 150 HP made right now IMO. Reall, under 150...I'd go with a yamaha right down to as small as you wanted to get.

For 150 and above it's pretty tough to beat the mercury optimax's if you're a 2s guy. The Mercury Verado 4s have no equal.

That is one bad mofo of a motor. Supercharged 4stroke, digital throtle and steering.

If I had a spare $70K to throw at a boat it would be a Ranger 620 w/ a 250hp Mercury Verado, and a yamaha T-8 kicker.

I have high hopes smile not only getting the job, but how much fun it would be to work there!
