GSPs are great -- except for the evil one owned by a buddy of mine. She thinks she's a hockey player... and takes fiendish delight in running past at full speed and hip checking me while I'm already precariously balanced on steep, vertical terrain.
But she sure can find birds.:)
If you're fixin' to put a hole in something, make it a hole to remember.

By the way Rattler, that sure is a pretty dog you have! How old/ rob as to the docking, depends on the breed, personally doesnt matter to me wouldnt bug me to run a GSP with a longer tail but im also more into ability than pedigree ill hunt with a mutt if it will hunt.....GSP's have theirs docked at the length shown, english pointers are left natural..... Jake is within a few days of turning 2 years IIRC.....

Congrats, GSP's are tough to beat. Well...from a die-hard Griffon and Lewellin man... you're 100% correct. They are great bird dogs, no argument. Yep, I've had 4 GSP's and now have an EP. I've also hunted over and/or spent some time around GWP's and Brittany's. Our dogs are definitely hunters AND pets. For that, the drive, temperament, and train-ability pretty much sets the GSP apart, IMO. My EP would most likely out hunt any of the GSP's I've had, but talk about a neurotic mofo.

the goofball trying to find the toy......at 50 seconds or so when he disappears he is looking in the dogs' toy box trying to find the toy thats squeaking...excuse the mess as we were in the middle of cleaning when we took a break cause we realized we needed to order some dog supplies which is where my wife found the audio file for the squeaker in one of the toys they were selling....he is very much a house pet as well as a hunting dog....
