I recently purchased a Savage 99 in .243 and mounted on top of it is a 2.5 X 8 Daylite scope. Just wondering if anyone remembers much about the Daylite scopes. I'm wondering how they compared to other scopes of that era. Would they compare closer to a weaver of that era, a redfield, or a bausch and lomb? I plan to use this rifle...like the vintage look, but don't want to keep it on a shooter unless it's a dependable scope. I just don't remember anything about this brand....is it a bottom of the line scope?
Thanks
Scott
PS I also posted this same question up in the hunting optics forum...just looking for opinion or knowledge.
