I know this has probably been addressed before, but I don't remember getting a difinitive answer. Regardless of how you feel about the outcome, exactly who DOES have the standing to challenge eligibility? It would seem to an unwashed masses type like myself, that since he works for me, I should be able to require proof of eligibility. My gut feeling is that we DO have that right, but are simply being pushed aside by those in power. Who can push this issue successfully?

In one case I read you have to be running for president. It makes no sence to me.

I would think Congress as Congress has the power and authority to impeach, try, and remove the president from office. However, if Congress won't enforce a contempt of court against the president I wouldn't hold out much hope on eligibility for office.

I don't think we are very far from having a president declare himself president-for-life and say he rules by Divine Authority. This president maybe the one who does. We will have to wait and see.
