I've been considering purchasing a ground blind since last year's hunting season. What I can gather from other hunters is that most deer and small game animals are oblivious to them being there.
Ameristep makes one called the "Penthouse" with a 7'6" height and 6'6" square floor area that would allow me to shoot either a compound or a recurve.
What's your opinion of ground blinds?
Thanks, bowhunter57

Guns cause crime, like silverware causes Rosie O'Donnell to be fat.

i've never personally hunted from a ground blind, but i do most of my bowhunting (at least 90% of it) from the ground.
from what i have gathered about ground blinds is that they are an effective way to hunt, and i am sure more comfortable than sitting out in the open, exposed to wind, snow, rain, and wild cats!

Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.
