I have both the Marlin 1894C and Puma in 357 Mag the Puma has a brass receiver and 24" oct. barrel. The Marlin had cycle issues with every ammo other than Winchester white box 158 gr out of the box, I sent it back twice. Customer service at Marlin was quick both times now it will cycle anything from 38spl semi wadcutters up thru 180gr. The Puma is a beauty to look at and has fed everything I put into it smoothly from day one.
