Any suggestions about what to use as a filler in the forend of a Ram-Line injection molded stock? Ideally looking for something that won't add much weight and is hard enough to also serve as a bedding compound. I've bedded with Brownell's before, but was dealing with much smaller spaces.

I have used some of the poly soft beads like is fired in soft air guns ,mixed with Brownells accraglass. I laid part of a carbon arrow shaft in thechannel for added stiffness

Arrows, old fishing rod sections, or other tubular fiberglass stuff bedded in epoxy fluffed with microballons will give you the greatest stiffness for the weight...
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

Having installed quite a number of Ramlines over the years for cheap friends and family, I personally wouldn't do anything. I would make sure there was enough clearance between the barrel and forearm and leave it. The forearm on the Ramline is pretty stiff as it is for that class of stock. If I was going to do anything to a Ramline stock, I would spray some foam into the butt end to help dampen the sound. Of course for just a filler, you could wax the barrel and spray that same foam in the barrel channel, install the barreled action and let her set up. Trim and finish.
