My wife and I are going to Vegas for a week in March and am looking for some good restaurants to eat in. We both love good mexican food and when we went to Phoenix last year Dennisniaz hooked me up with some great spots off the beaten track or in the case of Vegas off the strip.
Where are your favourite restaurants away from the strip?

I'm not a local, but have been going to Vegas a lot since the 80's. We've eaten at many good places off the beaten path over the years...Tex-Mex especially. An old standby is Macayo's...they've always been good. This past summer we ate at Cozymel's while in Vegas and it was super.
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

I've eaten at Diablo's Cantina at the Monte Carlo and it was fantastic.

Far from a local but spent a lot of time out there on active duty for various flag exercises and now it seems a conference or two a year. It's off the strip but the breakfast at this place rocks. http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/
