I offered him Dave's suggestion of using two knives next time and it wasn't met with the humor I thouht it should be.

We got about 5 miles down the trail and Jeremy's engine locked up. His buddy Ben pulled him back to the casino. Then 2 miles after that another sled broke a chain. So 2 down and we had not even put on 10 miles yet. One of the other guys had a major anti-freeze leak. He went through everyones water, thankgoodness we make it to Cook so he could get anti-freeze. Another sled had to change plugs. And that is why I have zero regrets of selling my sleds for a good four wheeler last winter.

Patch those sleds together and come up for a weekend ride at the cabin.
I'm hoping to have our snow junkers cobbled together for the weekend.
Something clever here.

Truthfully I hope it doesn't melt too fast so the folks that live in Rooster Jim's direction don't get flooded out. If we could get warm like this and then cold to slow the thaw it would help tremendously. Warm, Cold, Repeat. I personally don't have to worry about the flooding from a home stand point but it sure makes the work commute suck when it necks down a hundred passages across the Red River into one or two. But everytime I get frustrated, I just think of the people who are fighting to save their homes and think it could be worse. I have helped sandbag plenty and it is NOT fun.

have to agree the commute does slow down, in 2009 it took my wife over 4 hours to get home one night, she tried to use the main ave. bridge, and the sandbags make you find muscles you didn't remember you had.

Well I made it through my first day of temp work. It was actually pretty fun. Maybe it will become permanent. There were 2 other temps there today and the one guy was pretty weird and the gal did nothing but complain how it was such hard work. I had to do all I could not to laugh. I mean she was sitting there putting stickers on plastic containers, come on.

Glad you had a good day. I continue with my one step forward one step back program. I busted the starter on the brown pickup named carlos yesterday. The tailshaft housing that carries the drive gear end of the shaft busted. (never seen that before) Luckily I had an old 460 & C6 laying on a pallet outside the shop, had to dig in the snow but I robbed the starter off that 460 & Carlos is back in action. It was during the starter scavanging that I noticed my shop chimney is busted over at a 45 degree angle from snow slifing off the shop roof The plow truck waits it's turn for repair. Plus 2 broken snowmobiles and now a chimney.... can't catch up.
Something clever here.
