Ok, got my gun today, a Marlin 30TK. Problem is the forend and stock are made of different wood. The stock is walnut, the forend is unknown hardwood. I am looking for the walnut forend. It is about 7 1/2 inches long and uses the barrel band. I have spent hours on the net looking with no results, anybody know a source?

Does not exist. The TK is a Kmart version Texan (straight stock), made for 3 years, uncommon, and in demand. The wood was birch. The forearm was special to the gun. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=4017A Glenfield butt would be birch and is easier to swap.
