I hate the site system on the AK clones, or any AK for that matter. Has anybody out there machined a modifed gas block akin to the Galil type front site?
I think I will rid mine of the front site tower altogether and screw glue a crude site tube or something on the side and then get a red dot on it somehow.
Anybody else out there tinkering with these cheapo junkers? I kinda like mine!

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Krebs Custom guns uses a gas block with integral front sight. I looked on their site and they don't list it as a part, but I think it can by found trhough K-Var. I know I saw one advertised in last month's Shotgun News.
