Had loins cooked on the grill. It's very good. Marinate the cat loins, in your favorite stuff[I like Italian dressing]. Wrap the meat with bacon, and pin it with tooth picks. Depending on the thickness of the cut, cook about 8 mins. on a side, or until it just has a thin pink line in the center. Take it of the grill and eat! It's a lot like boneless pork chops on the grill.

just love how you guys have to start tossing insults when you disagree. That dog, God Bless him as he passed away many years ago, was pretty darn smart. The meat was just something new to him, but you know he tried it after that. Seems he was just smarter than your sarcastic self.

But insults in a cooking forum? crazy You don't like puzzy? shocked

In response to your comment... an jovial insult from a friend is one thing, an un-warranted mean spirited one from someone you do not know is uncalled for. Just saying....

If I said he was a lousy cook, that would be an insult. If I say the idea of eating X seems to me disgusting, that's not an insult, unless it's an insult to X, but I'm sure X wouldn't mind.

Thing is, I didn`t ask anyone whether or not they`d eat it.

Thanks for the recipes elkhunter, I`ll give them a try. I`ve got some favorite pork loin recipes that should work well also.

You sure didn't and you are welcome. Pork loin/tenderloin recipes should work as well.

Oh, so I take it I wasn't meant to be included in the "you guys." My mistake, then.

Cougar Cassrole

6 cougar chops
1 stick sweet butter
Salt, pepper, powdered thyme
1 cup bread crumbs, sifted
1 cup beef broth
1 cup dry white wine
1 onion
2 cloves
1 garlic clove
1 bay leaf
2 celery stalks
2 tbsps. parsley, minced
2 tbsps. shallots, minced
Splash of lemon juice

Melt the butter in a cassrole dish, then brown six cougar chops that have already been seasoned with salt, popper, and powdered thyme. When the chops are brown, remove and keep hot. Next stir a cup of sifted bread crumbs in to the butter in the cassrole, cooking them over low heat until golden. Put the cougar back into the cassrole and pour the beef broth and white wine over the chops. Correct the seasoning and add the onion, whole with 2 cloves stuck into it, 1 whole clove of garlic, 1 bay leaf and 2 celery stalks. In a 35oF degree oven, bake the covered cassrole for 45 miniutes. Now sprinkle the cougar chops with a mixture of shallots, parsley, and chives mixed with alittle lemon juice, and cook uncovered for 15 miniutes. Remove from the oven and remove the bay leafs and skim the fat off the surface, then serve, with salad and piliaf............................Enjoy

Oh, thanks. I`m new around here so this is helpful.

Boomy- That looks like one I`ll definitely have to try.

I can`t believe how much meat was on that thing, easily more than an antelope.

Well after reading these recipes, I would certainly love to try it, I don't think there is much I wouldn't try within reason def. not rocky mountain oysters, or most of the [bleep] that is Eaten on Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman. Not to start another fire, but has anybody tried coyote?
