Been thinking of getting one for some time and am looking for recommendations. Many reviews on the 'net, but seems like lots of audiophiles who are picky about sound quality. I'm more concerned about getting one that won't have the crank handle break off after a few uses.

Figured there are a number here who have used them, particularly in the hurricane areas. Any input appreciated.

Bob

What brand and model? Have you used it enough to learn about durability, etc?

I have had an Eton and Grundig. Within the first 5 minutes of cranking the handle broke on the Eton. I've had really good luck with the Grundig and much longer battery life with the Grudig as well.
