My family ad I love looking at the pictures from Africa, so I thought I would create this thread.
We would enjoy seeing any pics you care to post. Animals you downed, live shots and points of intrest or history i.e. the pyramids of Egypt ect.
Look forward to seeing lots of great pics and cool places. Thanks guys.

Okay, I have a ton of Photo's but then after 18 years in business there I suppose I would! How about some that are not actually hunting related and I'll throw in a couple that are. We have increased the tourism business in the last three years to equal our hunting operations. Our tourism events are simply amazing to say the least! Elephant back safari day trips through the parks. It has become almost impossible to get permits to train elephants for this now. When these elephants retire these types of trips will be a thing of the past. Not sure that chain is the weak link in the discipline or control here, I'm thinking his wrist joint or even the elbow and shoulder! Croc crossing the road in Kruger park with a nice warthog! The all time cutest hunter ever in my camp! She was a real hunter and a great shot! Here are a few scenary shots Typical Eastern cape Karoo My wife's favourite My favourite, the Gemsbok At that time a $1400 trophy. The rest of it came home in way of shoulder mount and back skin. Lets just say I was a bit angry with myself at that time. I felt better two days later. Randy Make plans to go even if not to hunt.

Cool photos guys! Been getting psyched for next months trip, and going through photo's from '08. Going to post a few of live critters and scenery. Jeff Zebra in Kruger Wild dog, in a preserve/rehab center. Roller...beatiful birds. Monkey in Kruger. A dry riverbed we were hunting. Killed a waterbuck on the hillside to the left of the frame.

Few more... Lioness in Kruger. There were four sleeping off a kill, under a shade tree. We waited for almost two hours for them to stir, as all we could see above the grass, was the occasional ear, or paw, as they rolled over. Worth the wait. A hyena den, not far from where I killed a warthog. A closer look at a hyena. Taken to show the "bullseye" on the south end of a northbound waterbuck. Giraffe....a complete PITA, when trying to stalk critters in their midst.

Ever notice how everyone is smiling in pics from Africa....theres a reason for that.. Our own JB and MizWhitetail ( Eileen) clowning around after a morning sand grouse shoot in Namibia..

I still get a goofy grin just thinking about it. A couple good buddies make comments like "He's in Africa again" or "Come back to us Randy".
I had a patient a couple of months back who was pretty banged up in a MVC. I was asking about his hunting as he had been wearing a "Moose" hat which Natural Resources used to give hunters who turned in their hides for tanning for natives to make leather goods. Talking about something of interest calms the patient, helping with stabilization. He asked me about my favourite hunt, and I was off. By the time we got to the hospital we had exchanged emails, and his pain had dropped from 8/10 to 2/10, his vitals had stabilised and he had been infected with my goofy grin.
I need to get back so I can be reinfected with that particular joy.
Randy
