Hey guys can anyone recommend a fishing charter from Mass or RI for Cod or Bluefish, I'm planning a trip in April, or May and normally we went with Big Fish Charters out of Marshfield Mass. This year I was thinking of trying someone else thanks

I've been out on the Captain's Lady party boat out of Newburyport. My buddies book them every year. They go out on a boat out of Hampton Beach, NH called the yellow bird too. The Francis Fleet out of Galilee is popular too. You can look them up and read their catch reports as you start getting close to your planned dates and decide.

If your starting in NY you don't have to drive all the way into RI or MA unless you want to. I have gone for bluefish for years out of the New London area. The boats go to the Race (east end of Long Island).

A party of 8 may be an issue for a lot of guys . A lot of charter boats haul 6 unless it is an inspected vessle . April is early for bluefish as well . The bluefish migration doesn't usually happen until the big wave of mackerel come through and that is usually around the first or second week of May where I am in Montauk , NY. April would be a good month to go for cod out of Marshfield BTDT many times but over the last few years the cod bite off of Montauk has ne not needing to drive the 5 hours one way to Mass. If you have been to Marshfield before I asume you have eaten at Hadads good stuff right? Here is a list of some of the guys up there. This site is also a decent site for stuff going on between Jersey and Mass http://www.noreast.com/listings/List.cfm?type=charterboats&giftsonly=false&subregion_ID=16

thanks for the info . Normally we go the last part of April early May we have tried the Summer going for the larger cow cods. I can't remember the name of the diner we ate at before we went fishing, but I believe there was only one place to get breakfast. If thats the place it was very good
