I just wanted to post on here how extremely satisfied I am with Summit Treestands product and customer service. I recently had to call summit customer service b/c the powder coating on my Viper SS was peeling off like crazy. At one section it was bubbling up and peeling. Being as my stand is only 2 years old and I have only used it a handful of times I called and asked if there was a remedy. At first they sent me some summit skin (a quieting tape to apply to the stand) but after receiving it, I realized that this was just a band-aid for the issue at hand. So I called them back and explained that this was not going to resolve the issue. At that point they shipped me a brand new stand with in a few days. Now that is what I call customer service. They even sent me a UPS tag to send back the old one. The new one looks great and there is a difference in the way the powder coat looks. I assume that the old one was just a bad egg among the many good ones, which can happen time to time. As far as I am concerned they have a customer for life.

The treestand itself is great, comfortable, light enough for me and easy to operate.

I just wanted to put this out for those who are looking at getting a new stand, that this type of service (while it may never be needed) is great peace of mind to know a company will stand by their product like they have.

It seems people never have anything bad to say about Summit. Good to know, as I am looking for a new stand.

swoosh,

Thanks for sharing your story - sounds like a company that has their ducks in a row. I think they make a fine product too.

I have strayed from Summit before but have always managed to come back. grin IMO they offer the best compromise of comfort, security, and portability.

I've owned a lot of different brands, and Summit is my favorite, by far.

Just wanted to say thanks to Swoosh!!!! I saw the thread and then later remembered that I had the same paint issue with one of my climbers.

I call Summit and Mrs.Peggy sent me a new stand completley hassle free!

Thanks again

Summit's The Only One IMO. I've Owned And Hunted Out Of Warren Sweat, Loggy Bayou, API, Lone Wolf, And Several Other Light weights. Nothings Close In Safety And Comfort.

Heavy buggers aren't they. I'm thinking of grabbing a newer one just to shed the weight.
