That is funny, because I just watched Best of the West....pretty cool Dall sheep hunt.

The Cooper/Husk package comes with a 1K yard, 1MOA guarantee, and a hard custom gun case.

See, it isn't real hard to provide details on a custom settup. Call Cooper or visit their website, they'll tell you anything you need to know, including where they are made (in house).

Later fellas.

You guys can bay at the moon and dance around the fire while poking pins into a John Burns Voo Doo doll and he is not going to tell you what you think you want to know. After so much mental energy has been expended on trying to force John to reveal his trade secrets, if he actually gave you everything you asked for (information related, not the rifle), you'd be let down. You'd all be wondering, "we spent so much effort for that?!"

No effort on my end, I could careless because at that price I am not buying it, when I can buy a rifle that will shoot just the same for half the price. Oh and I know what I am getting which makes me happy.

Maybe...

It could also be this thread should be titled "Guy [bleep] 6 Retards and Everyone Is Happy".

Opinions will vary and are hard to change, especially when some things are secretive, on purpose of course.

To be fair to John and GB, gunwerks and Bestofthewest are just as crazy. As are any of their customers. None of those rifles are going to shoot any better then any of the great rifle smiths that charge a reasonable price for their rifles. But if you want to try to out spend me have at it any of these three companies would love to have your cash.

I believe Greybull, Gunwerks and now apparently Cooper are catering to people with money enough to drop $60k on a sheep hunt, don't have the time or inclination to shoot, reload, put a rifle together, site a rifle in...normal stuff that 99% of us do.

They want to buy it, load it and hunt with it.

I wonder how many of these guys actually shoot them prior to using them on a hunt?

Seems like the field is geting crowded, which means that there is some money to be made.

How long that lasts remains to be seen????

"Trade secrets"........hilarious

I think everyone would wonder why they spent so much MONEY for that.

Some just don't get it, and that makes it that much more appalling. John clearly farms out much of his work(hence the high price tag), and uses whatever custom tube he can get his hands on at the time, as to not be inconvenienced(hence the "secrecy"). Rifles are "cookie cutter" and load development is minimal to non-existent. he goes with b&C instead of mcMillan (except for his personal rigs), because turn around time is much faster, and profit margins much fatter.

Catering to the ignorant must reap it's rewards, I'll give him that.

You've been on IGNORE for 2 yrs. Now I remember why. You are a dumbphuck of the highest order. Back on.......
