Thanks, yes I did, with much advice from the now retired chief stockmaker from Turnbull Restoration.
Tried the new MinWax "wipe on" Poly, after removing the old finish with Minwax finish restorer. (take off the crud but does not remove stain or open pores).
Took more coats than Tru-Oil but hardened up faster and polished out really nice with 1500 and 2000 wet dry.
As we know most 99 wood is not too inspiring, kinda like an M-1. so when a good one is found, they are worth showing off.
An EG with some nice fiddleback and never drilled.
